“Improving hill country profitability is often about getting better animal growth rates, and introducing more legumes is a key part of this. I will be working to identify the right legumes for different farming systems and how best to use them. To ensure maximum practical application, much of this work will be undertaken on farmer properties and will be linked with work being undertaken at Lincoln University.”
