Beef + Lamb New Zealand
Ange has an Executive Master of Administration, a Bachelor of Business, Management and Accounting and has completed her Master of Agri-commerce. Well connected in rural communities, she “lives” farming. Her experience is broad, including practical farming, regional council work, retail, research, and applied post and undergraduate study. Her MBA project centred on the market orientation of sheep and beef farmers in New Zealand and impacts on farm performance. For the Hill Country Futures project, Ange is part of the research and analysis team, conducting interviews in New Zealand’s farming community.
“It is critical that farmers have an authentic and recognisable voice in this process, so they and other industry players can trust that the process, and its insights and outputs are robust. This means pushing beyond comfort zones and thinking about the futures of hill country farmers and their support networks in rural communities, provincial towns and beyond. In this work, it will be important to test assumptions and understand at a deep level, barriers and opportunities, and communicate them in a meaningful way, to have an impact.”
